The format of the output buffer is known only to the port driver. BIDI_Q_PORTDRV(8019h) is called to get the port driver configuration data from a print server. This information enables a port driver to allow an administrator to change the port settings remotely via SplPdRemoteSetPort.

This call also can be used during SplPdSetPort to allow the port driver dialog (which runs under the PMSHELL process) to get information from the part of the port driver that communicates with the printer (which runs under the spooler process).
