outputID (BYTE)
The identification numbers for a particular output are assigned by the printer and printer manufacturer. The identification numbers for functionally equivalent output devices may be different from printer to printer, depending on the manufacturer of the printer. For example, an output collator may have an identification number of x'01' with one manufacturer and an identification number of x'04' with another manufacturer or printer model.
The printer will assign identification numbers sequentially each time the printer is initialized or turned on. As a result, if the number of input options is changed, a particular output may not have the same identification number as before the change in printer configuration.
